The IWCS is proud to announce that the winners of the Art Critic Prize were Benedict Ernst which was presented at Embryo. Another winner was Lou Joyce Cornall for his works at soapkitchen. The group exhibition by tenants of the Northcott Public Housing Estate also won a prize from judges Judith Blackall and Sandro Nocentini. The Retailer Choice Award also went to Benedict Ernst. Funded by City of Sydney, Marrickville Council and Burwood Council and organized by Inner West Cultural Services, Walking the Street aims both to raise the profile of emerging artists and community art groups and to involve the broader community in a celebration of the artistic endeavors and cultural diversity of the Inner West.IWCS also thanks The Museum of Contemporary Art, Judith Blackwell, Sandro Nocentini, retailer judges Soapkitchen, Aboriginal Dreamings Gallery, All Buttons Great and Small, King St Cyclery, WWP, Red Carpet and Integral Property, Art on King and Staging Connections.
