iwcs ran the Acoustically Sunday program in the first half of 2006. Previously iwcs had presented similar concerts in 2002 and 2003 with the assistance of the NSW Ministry for the Arts. The 2006 eight-concert series was made possible via funding from Marrickville Council.

The 2006 program included Jeannie Lewis, Juan Carlos Rios & Raul Bassa, Emma Donovan, Kim Sanders and many more. A successful component of the program was in giving the opportunity to emerging artists to experience an up close intimate acoustic performance. In all 21 support acts were part of the concert series.

Acoustically Sunday was also made possible via the volunteer efforts of a small working group who supported the project coordinator Rosarela Meza. The working group included Tim Bishop, Jazz Eastman, Linda Dawson, Tegan Richardson, Francesca Cathie, Anne Davey and Denise Tart.
